About Our Ministry

2014

In 2014, Desh and Kath Esh went PA Mission Builders to YWAM Kona, in Hawaii. While there, they met Sam Kimmel and Rob Graham from Last Frontier Ministries in Alaska, a ministry who serves the Lord by sharing the gospel in the Alaskan interior.

Through conversation Desh learned of their need for more facilities such as a heated shop and a discipleship school campus to continue their ministry efforts to the villages in Alaska.

A while after they got home, Last Frontier Ministries reached out asking for some help to build their shop building which now serves as a repair shop for the ministry vehicles and a warehouse for ministry supplies as well as staff housing in two apartments upstairs.

In 2016 Desh and a few friends and acquaintances made the trip to Alaska and put up the shop building shell in two weeks. The next few summers were busy, as they took more and more teams up to Alaska to work on various projects on the campus and by 2020 it became apparent that the need for construction on the mission field was much greater than what just one family and their friends could fulfill.

In 2021, Flashpoint Missions was formed as a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing skilled construction labor to established ministries in need of facilities in order to expand their ministry and fulfill their god-given calling.

At first, Flashpoint Missions expanded their construction ministry within Alaska by sending volunteer teams to various ministries working in the Alaskan interior. In 2023 we sent our first international team overseas to Asia through a connection made in Alaska, and since then have sent more than a dozen construction teams to help ministries in Nepal, Germany, Italy and Papua New Guinea.
