Hi Friends,
My recent reading of Scripture has taken me through the books of Isaiah, Jeremiah, and Lamentations, and I've been struck by the PERSISTENCE of God in accomplishing His purposes despite Israel's constant rebellion and stubborn idolatry. Perhaps.... could it be... that God is just as persistent, and just as faithful to His purposes in my life and in yours? Perhaps, despite our frailties and shortcomings, God is still committed to the process of our purification and He still will showcase His glory in and through our lives! Beyond a doubt, we serve an AMAZING God, who gives us ASTONISHING grace, and whose mercies are new every morning!

Psalm 145:8 "The Lord is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love."

Romans 5:8 "But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."

Boots on the Ground in the Scottish Highlands
Site Overview
Blairmore House is a stone estate built in 1884 and restored in the 1990s. It serves as the home of Ellel Ministries Scotland, a non-denominational international ministry operating since 1986.
The facility hosts retreats, Gap Year Schools, and discipleship courses. The building is structurally sound but requires ongoing maintenance typical of a 140-year-old stone property.
Scope of Work Requested
Ellel Ministries requested help with new doors and windows, porch roof repairs, painting, plumbing, and general maintenance. Permits for portions of the original scope were still in process during the team's time on site, which shifted the work plan.
Work Completed
Garden restoration. Cleanup of the grounds surrounding the estate. Prayer shed repairs. Restoration of the on-site structure used for ministry. General maintenance. Routine upkeep tasks across the property.
Work Pending
Door and window replacement, porch roof repairs, painting, and plumbing remain on the punch list pending permit approval. These items are scheduled for Team 2.
Next Steps
Team 2 is in planning for a return trip later in 2026 to complete the pending scope. If you are interested in joining a future trip checkout the upcoming projects below.
"Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain." Psalm 127:1

Ellel Ministries Scotland — Team 2 | May 30 – June 13, 2026
Team full. Headed to Blairmore House, Huntly, Scotland.
This is Flashpoint's second team to Ellel Scotland this spring, continuing the partnership at Blairmore House — the 1884 stone manor that serves as Ellel Ministries' Scotland base for retreats, Gap Year Schools, and discipleship courses. Ellel is a non-denominational international ministry now operating in over 25 countries, and Blairmore is in constant need of upkeep to keep the doors open for the people they serve.
Scope of work: new doors and windows, porch roof repairs, plumbing updates, exterior painting, and general maintenance. Mostly carpentry, with plenty of room for willing hands on labor and paint.
Please pray for the team:
Safe international travel out on May 30 and home June 13
Stamina and skill for the carpentry punch list — windows, doors, and roof work to finish on schedule
That the team would be a real encouragement to the Ellel staff carrying the long-term ministry load
Spiritual fruit from the morning devotions and the relationships built with Ellel's team during off hours
Alaska
Muskox Ministries — Mt. Lulu Base Camp | May 14 – 28, 2026
Team full. Headed to Fairbanks, Alaska.
This is Flashpoint's second year at Mt. Lulu, the lodging hub Muskox Ministries is building 20 minutes north of Fairbanks for missionaries serving Alaska's remote villages — 85% of which have no road access. Last year's team put up two cabins; this year's crew takes the next phase.
Scope of work: demolish an old log structure and re-purpose the logs into another missionary cabin, with a possible washhouse/laundry room for base camp guests. Cooks and housekeepers round out the team.
On the ground: Cabins on-site, 8-hour workdays after morning devotions, near-24/7 daylight by trip's end. The Smiths are hosting.
Please pray for:
Safe travel May 14 and return May 28
That the log re-purpose and cabin build go cleanly
That Mt. Lulu keeps growing into a resource Alaska's village missionaries can depend on for transportation and housing when coming to town for supplies.
